He pursued his education at the University of Tartu, where he excelled and earned a bachelor's degree in Cultural Studies and Sports Management with honors.

Jaan is responsible for entering Pärnu into the Orbis Olympics many years ago and is continually involved with the O.R.C Organizational legality and safety in co-operation with foreign Minister Bjorn.
